We finally got the keys to our unit!

This fabulous refurbished 750 sq ft workshop is now ours.

The first job will be to transform it into a darkroom where analogue enthusiasts will be able to print their own work.

Over the coming weeks we will be building internal walls, installing the plumbing and wiring necessary to make this happen.

Once this is completed we will be able to install our equipment.

We have a range of enlargers, including a floor-standing De Vere 504, 3  5 x 4 LPL worktop enlargers, a Leitz Focomat and some 35mm/120 Durst and Kaiser models.

We'll have a peninsular sink that will accommodate 24 x 20 trays, print washing and drying equipment. It will be possible to work with both resin coated and fibre printing.

It won’t be just a darkroom.

There will be a generous daylight finishing area that will double-up as a space for talks, workshops or somewhere to relax between prints. At a later stage, we have plans to create a corridor gallery where members can exhibit their work.

We will shortly be announcing details of membership plans & session booking arrangements. A range of workshops will be available for both novices and more experienced practitioners.
