darkroom is very excited to be offering its first Artist in Residence opportunities. This is intended to help photographers and artists working with black and white film to initiate or develop a project idea.
The two successful applicants will be able to choose from two options we are providing over the Summer.
Option One: AUGUST: You will have access to book any sessions for any available slot in the month of August.
Option Two: SUMMER: For three months during August, September and October you will have access to book one session per week.
You must already be proficient using a darkroom, this offer does not include tuition on how to use a darkroom.
At the end of your residency you may exhibit your work in our small gallery space and we will give you the opportunity to present your work during one of our quarterly Lightworks soirées to encourage dialogue on your project and support you in moving it to the next stage.
If shortlisted, you must be available for interview during the week of 23rd June - date to be confirmed.
The fee to apply is £25.
